Children’s Library Complex

The Government of Punjab has great emphasis on the welfare of children throughout the province. Started in 1986, the scheme completed in 4 years. The objective of CLC was prepared and approved by Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) as a follow up of the instruction of Former Governor Ghulam Ghalani Khan.



CLC aims to provide recreational and educational platform to children of Pakistan thus nurturing them in mental and physical development. CLC acts as a resource centre that would supplement formal education and inculcate healthy pursuits among children. CLC not only grooms children for using the main library in the future, but also offers educational and hobby development resources for them. CLC intends to develop children’s interpretation, exploration inventiveness and creativity skills through diverse activities and programs.



CLC quests to utilize expertise and longer experiences of professional working in composite service deliveries to kids for their intellectual capacities development through the provision of a wide spectrum of educational and recreational activities.

The Children Library Complex (CLC) was established in 1988 with the aim of providing educational, recreational and sports facilities to the children of age’s 4-14years. Costing around Rs. 281 Lac and set up over an area of 75 kanal, CLC is creative and prolific accomplishment of the Government of Punjab, for children's welfare
