Haji S. Ameer Din & Sons

Haji S. Ameer Din & Sons is the optical division of E. Plomer & Co. Lahore. Established in 1860, this landmark stood proud as the sole Optician and drug shop. It was setup to cater the British elite, providing medicines, tobacco, stationary and even a photography studio. Haji Sheikh Ameer Din, a well-known business tycoon of the era, acquired this shop from the British in 1962, expanding the business into other parts of the city such as Anarkali and Thokar Niaz Beg and later on in Karachi. Today, the legacy continues as his future generations carry this patrimony. Located opposite the Lahore High Court, its antique elevation and vintage construction stand as a constant reminder of Lahore's Heritage and rich culture.
