Siddiqsons Energy was incorporated in 2014 and is the latest venture of the Group aiming to address the acute issue of the energy crisis in Pakistan.

The Group believes in innovation and catering to unique market segments in Pakistan. After being the pioneers of denim manufacturing and tinplate in Pakistan, Siddiqsons is diversifying into the power business using untapped fuels in Pakistan, including coal and solar renewable energy.



Siddiqsons is in the development phase of a 350 MW (gross), Imported Supercritical Coal-fired Power Plant at Port Qasim, Karachi. This plant will be one of the first coal-fired power plants in Pakistan. Siddiqsons understands that low-cost electricity is extremely crucial for the economic growth and stability of the country and a coal-fired power plant is the key to addressing this issue. Siddiqsons has selected state-of-the-art, advanced supercritical technology in order for the plant to be more efficient and result in a lower carbon footprint.



In essence to its commitment to environment sustainability, Siddiqsons Energy is also going green with alternative solar renewable energy. It is developing a 50 MW PV Solar Power Plant at the border of Chakwal and Attock districts in Punjab. The project is being developed on a fast-track basis and is expected to be commissioned in 2016.
