It all started way back in 1997. When a group of young artists thought about making a
difference. They took step forward, and with your appreciation along the way, helped them
continue climbing the stairs. So this is how it actually started....
Once upon a time, these few artists got tired of the greeting market. Because they wanted
to greet their lala’s and chacha’s and auntijee’s and grand pa’s and sheeda’s ami’s and abu’s in
a warm way, in their own way.
So,......so what? They started Making hand made cards, used their sense of humor, mixed it
with skill and creative brains. Produced a magical product, all subjective. Full of life. Those special
hand made cards were not for the market silly, but for their own loved ones. They wished birthdays
and told loved ones that they missed them, wished them speedy recovery and happy marriages, it
kept on and on and on......
Then one bright sunny day, a friend asked them, ‘yar! You are too good! Yar, why don’t you
give it a serious professional thought? You can do wonders’
So they thought and thought and thought........and guess what other then thinking they stared
doing wonders too.
And one not so sunny day, with a little backup from the family and the moral support. They
packed their bags and headed south, hehe just kiddin, so they packed their bags and headed
for a single room with one machine ka daba, I meant the computer and few people ready to
explode, full of enthusiasm, passion, talent and will. They unpacked with paper and colours and
paints and glues and ribbons and god knows what crap...CRAP?? Yea because every one
thought they were nuts. In a society, where every single person existing is a doctor. Ok, not
every one. But still there were engineers and professors and army men, and then
there were these few. They were surrounded by these highly respected
literates, that of course these poor pioneers look like a bunch of mad guys trying to
bring a change and make a difference. They accepted their disease and
culture studying Pakistan, they designed and
worked and got them printed. And to their
surprise people liked it. The first distribution
commenced in December 1997.
A Wise man once said, on the road to success you will encounter many pebbles, will come
across many storms. And so it happened. There were cloudy days, and there were rainy
days and there were hot days.
It initially started with many problems and problems continued to play a vital role in
the success. What! You don’t believe me? I am serious.
First it was the finance, had to do it all themselves. Then it was the printing, had to go
to different presses and tell them what the requirement was but what was printed was what
no body wanted, then the marketing, then the distributors and a few demons, along the
way.
Anyways but they didn’t lose hope, because other then those negative forces, there
were the positive ones too, like our customers, our card-iologists, who are they?? You
guys!!
Our products were appreciated and bought and that gave us a reason to work. We worked
and worked and worked, and the sun kept moving with us, we had more and more sunny
days. Produced subjective as well as objective cards. Had our own design studio,
Handicraft workshop, manufacturing workshop. We even started a copyright rule. Made a
local product, with great proud ness.
Got our own marketing accounts and distribution. Distributed in all the zones of
Pakistan. We were famous enough but still, we publicized on electronic media. And one
another bright sunny day of year 2000, we thought of establishing our own out let. This
helped the company in great ways.
We started our wrapping papers and gift items and handicrafts. Clocks, paper bags,
but our main objective has always remained the cards.
In 2003 we bought our own press. Started printing cards, as we wanted to. Helped others
too.
Our card-iologists are of all age, every one. But especially the young lot. We’ve
always aimed to produce quality, we are a patriotic, made in Pakistan product. Today we
stand as a successful card makers running with time, fighting the odds, and holding a
position in the market. We started with 4 people, and today we have a staff of 36.
We’ve always been there for you, and have always found you standing there for us.
InshAllah in near future we plan to export our products. We always bring u the celebrations
first, we brought u the father’s day mother’s the friendship day, valentines day, Eid day,
Chrismas, new year, and now we bring you the independence day.
This is our story, with our emotions and our progress. We the people at the card
company are proud to be made in Pakistan.
